Well went to Midas on Thursday because the car sounded funny. Turned out that the rod bearings were going out. This would mean that the engine had to be replaced. That could cost $3000-$4000. We had been looking at SUVs anyway for quite awhile. Stella and I talked it over and decided that we wanted a Lincoln Navigator. We bought one on Friday. Here is our new car!
Woke up with a headache. Took a shower and didn’t help. Raven was watching SuperWhy and wanted Daddy to watch with him. It was so cute how he was calling out the letters and interacting with the show. He even gave me hugs and kisses when he got it right. It was really sw
eet. I don’t want to go into work. I was originally scheduled off, but I am expected to be in and am already late. Stella is making breakfast and will go in after that. We have to get Raven’s birthday cake anyway and then i will stay at work and she will take the car. I am hoping not to stay longer than six or seven hours. I have lots of school work and a birthday party to attend. Since this was originally my day off, we planned this day to be all together. These six day stretches are not nice.
Stella made a feast, but we were not able to go Trick or Treating. I worked 16 hours today and woke up at 5pm, but Raven went to sleep at 5:30 and Orion was adamant that he did not want to go. We had a good plan, but kids didn’t cooperate. Orion could not get enough of the Heffalump movie(Pooh). Raven woke up later and went to better about 11pm. Raven woke up again at 1:30am with growing pains in his legs. He eventually calmed down after giving him Infant Ibuprofen and Stella rocked him back to sleep in the rocker downstairs.
Today we put Oregonhiker’s bus for sale. This is a sad day and a happy day. It has been a long time coming. The bus was too big for our purposes, but with all the work we put into to it; we have grown to love it. Even Orion and Raven like it. We put it up for sale on eBay on a 7 day listing. Maybe at sometime in the future we will be able to get a smaller bus. The business will reopen sometime in the near future. We are looking to reopen Oregonhiker in 2011 after we relocate to Eugene area.
